Gotland Grey Roving
Roving
Sheep are shorn and their fiber is back from the mill!
Spinners and fiber artists love Gotland roving for its lustrous long curls. Their fleeces come in varying shades of gray from light silver to deep charcoal. The wool for our roving is processed by a small Vermont fiber mill. They offer custom processing and specialize in fine fibers. The available roving is from our 100% embryo rams. It is a lovely lusterous fiber with approximately a staple length of 6-7 inches. This listing is for a 2 oz. bag of roving.
Please note that Gotland roving felts quite easily. We recommend storing your roving in a large bag where the fibers are not compacted together. Keep them in a room with a consistent temperature as temperature changes and moisture/humidity cause felting. But have no fear, when you open your package, you will want to immediately sit down and spin it!
